Reporoa Primary School

Reporoa

Reporoa Primary School – with a roll of around 100 students is a rural school half way between Rotorua and Taupo with lots of space. They are committed to promoting students to be connected to the world around them, particularly their environment. They recognise the importance of learning through play and have created a space where this can happen.

With the help of Project Crimson and the Mazda Foundation, pupils, parents, teachers and Reporoa community, they have created an interactive outdoor learning area, complete with pathways, learning platform and native plantings. The newly created area will provide the children and teachers a space to learn outside, observing nature, diversity and incorporate their observations into all areas of the school curriculum.
