Spotswood Primary School

South Road, New Plymouth

Spotswood Primary pupils now reap the benefits of learning in their outdoor classroom, which is settled in a previously unused gully that runs alongside the school’s field.

Over 1,000 native trees were planted, and the space includes an outdoor recreation area where the students can enjoy their lunchtimes surrounded in native fernery. It also features a small lake, seating and newly-installed fences, picnic tables and pathways.
